LeAnn Hoffman joins the Modern Family Formation Law Office following the completion of her Judicial Clerkship with the District Court of Montgomery County, Maryland. During her clerkship, LeAnn conducted advanced legal research and drafted memoranda on the law and its application to the facts and evidence presented to the court. She also reviewed civil complaints and supporting documents and drafted opinions for the Judges.

LeAnn attended the American University Washington College of Law (WCL) where she earned her Juris Doctor, cum laude. LeAnn’s background includes being a Research Assistant and Dean’s Fellow at WCL where she also worked in the Civil Advocacy Clinic representing clients in housing and disability rights matters before local and federal agencies. She also served as a Legal Intern with the Federal Public Defender handling extensive research, drafting legal memoranda and discovery. 



LeAnn’s greatest strength as an attorney is her ability to listen carefully to clients to understand their wishes, desires, and concerns. She can synthesize complex legal issues and relay information in a way that is easy for client to understand, helping them identify goals and ensuring that they feel supported throughout the legal process.
